Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in New York to participate in the 81st session of the UN General Assembly and for a series of bilateral meetings, including with Donald Trump, Ukrainian Pravda reported, citing a statement from the Ukrainian president.
At the start of the visit, Zelensky had planned talks with a group of U.S. lawmakers and Emmanuel Macron.
On Tuesday morning, he will lay flowers in front of the Memorial on September 11. Bilateral meetings are scheduled during the day, including the conversation with Trump.
On Wednesday, Zelensky will take part in the International Summit on the Crimean Platform. On schedule, he will speak at a meeting of the UN Security Council on Ukraine at 11:00 local time and at the session of the General Assembly around 14:00.
According to Zelensky, about 20 meetings are planned in New York - with Trump, European leaders, senators, members of the House of Representatives, heads of international organizations, American companies and analytical centers.
