Intelligence Shows Russia Preparing Massive New Strike
krainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says his country has received fresh intelligence indicating Russia is preparing another large-scale attack and that Ukraine is already moving to blunt it.
Speaking after a conference call with government officials, military commanders, and key services, Zelensky said updated intelligence on Russia's strike preparations had come in "today," UNIAN reports. "We are preparing retaliatory measures," he said.
"We have set deadlines for implementing a significant part of the tasks, and priority measures are already being implemented."
The warning comes as Russian operations target Ukraine's logistics infrastructure. Zelensky noted that government and regional authorities have prepared additional logistical countermeasures in response.
Defense Minister Yevhen Hmara and Air Force Commander Anatolii Krivonozhko briefed the president on the deployment of air defense systems and protective perimeters around key sites, he said.
Ukraine is supplying ammunition for its F-16 fighters, interception systems, and anti-missile interceptors, but the president flagged ballistic missile defense as the biggest gap.
"The availability of these supplies depends entirely on our partners. We work with them on a daily basis," Zelensky said.
He also reported that Russian forces struck several Ukrainian hospitals in the past day, in Kramatorsk and Kryvyi Rih and thanked the State Emergency Service for responding effectively and in time in each region.
