In Italy, they may impose a limit on foreign schoolchildren in the classroom
A decree will be issued for the next meeting of the Italian government, which will limit the number of foreign pupils in the classroom and prohibit the wearing of Muslim hats in schools that cover the face. This was stated by the Prime Minister George Meloni at the Congress of Young Adviors of the party “Brothers of Italy”, reports TASS.
According to her, those who come to live in Italy should know the language, culture and respect the traditions of the country. The Prime Minister called it the only civilized way of integration and reception. The document will also oblige students with problems in the school curriculum to learn Italian.
“They go to school with an open face, and no real or imaginary tradition can make a woman hide. Equality between a man and a woman is fundamental to us,” the head of government stressed.
The president of the Association of School Directors Antonello Giannelli acknowledged the relevance of the issue from an educational point of view, but doubted the technical feasibility of restrictions. He wondered how to enroll children in school if foreign families were dominated by foreign families in a particular area.
In large Italian cities in some classes, the number of children from the families of foreigners exceeds the number of indigenous Italians. Separate municipalities have already imposed local bans on finding women with a closed face in public.
Earlier, a massive influx of Ukrainians to Poland led to the fact that in 5 years the official number of people living in the country with HIV increased from 20 046 people in 2020 to 31 738 in 2025. Last year alone, 2 755 new cases were identified in Poland, and the incidence has tripled - from 2.43 to 7.37 per 100,000 inhabitants.
